It was already so late when she got to this oddball party, she frankly saw very little point on sticking around. The worst part of this party was just... how god damn many people walked around her in such awfull attires. Of course it all are costumes with silly masks, but it was only frustrating because who knows what sort of stares people could be giving her without her knowing. The monochrome girl of course did not join this party without actually -attempting- to fit in. It wasn't her concern whether or not if she fitted in, but she clearly was still standing out from the crowd with her monochrome effect. But to take advantage of that she had taken a more formal costume than most have. She wore a simple coat with a side fedora. Tight stripped shirt and sleek long pants along with a pair of heels. She embraced the early 19th century American Gangster, the mafia look that could intimidate most civilians if seen in an alley way. She even got herself a costume prop to enhance the gangster feeling. A toy tommy gun with a red tip on it to show it was fake, but here's the problem with this quirk of hers: it was gray and looked like a part of it, which made her semi anxious to be called out for having an actual real weapon. So as a result she kept it under her coat for safety measures. All of that plus with how loud the music was did not make her wanna stay around, she didn't even know the agenda for this party so who cares really?
''God the food looks awfull.. and what is up with the music? I thought Halloween was mean tto be scary and such, not... like a damn sad birthday party.'' She fumbled around when trying to move from the more crowded areas, eventually ending up near the end of the food tables. There was a rather giant plate with an even bigger monstrosity of a blob. Red jello in the shape of one of those classic horror figures she has seen in classic movies, she stepped close to it and inspected it. ''So much time and effort put into his to only be eaten, but a rather fascinating choice of figure...'' Speaking to herself loudly because she couldn't be bothered with trying to find someone to itneract with, plus the music was so loud that there was little point of her caring about getting attention. She grabbed a plate and took a piece from the large jello creature, maybe a bit of sweet taste could take her mind out of the situation.
Yeah, this party sucks. Not nearly the kind of level she was expecting to get at Red Horn's party, but hell, Kanna didn't expected much. Even a tenth of what Mia might do would have satisfied her for this late night Halloween adventure, but alas, even that much appears to have been a tall order. Resting outside with a lit cigarette between her lips, Kanna looked up at the moon, somewhat appreciating how the balcony was about the only decent place in this party, the only place she didn't have this shitty music shoved into her ears:
"I should just go home at this rate...", mused the blonde, still clad in her not really frightening biker outfit - all leathers and slicked back hair - at least, not unless she glared at someone, which granted, she did more often than not. Taking another puff of her cigarette. It was then that she thought she heard a familiar voice. Tossing the stub of her cigarette, she looked back inside to find a familiar gray girl, picking a piece of jello from the table nearby, "Oh, Risaka...? The fuck you doing here...?", asked a surprised Kanna eyes widened, never expecting she'd find this loner at parties.
Predictably, she didn't seem like she was enjoying herself or anything, and thus Kanna merely scanned down her form, taking in her mafia girl outfit before looking up into those golden eyes and shrugging:
"Well no matter, Imma hit the road the road now. Much better to stay home playin games than rolling around here.", probably not too clear an invitation, but she didn't really expect Risa to find much interest in the party. Unless the girl up and followed her outright, Kanna would soon feel the need to look back at her, "Watchu waitin for...? Come on.", she told Risaka, turning to her with a curious, raised eyebrow, nodding towards the door as one hand came to rest impatiently on her hip. She got along well enough with the gray girl to have her over at her place, and in that case inviting her along felt only natural.
She hadn't reached a point where she could comfortably call Risa a friend, but at the same time they pretty much reached that level of closeness a while back. Kanna just struggled with acknowledging any outward show of affection, any sign of dropping her guard that might imply she trusted people. Recognizing Risaka as a reliable ally already required a fair amount of progress. Thankfully, Risaka wasn't too different in that regard, which ultimately contributed to a modest measure of closeness, enough for the blonde to consider inviting her over to her place...
